ST. LOUIS — Two young men accused of fatally shooting one person and seriously wounding another in January are now facing federal drug charges, a U.S. Attorney's Office spokesperson said Thursday.
Prosecutors have charged both 19-year-old Derrick Clark and 22-year-old Jeremiah Sutton with possessing controlled substances and discharging a firearm during a drug trafficking crime, the office said in a press release. Clark was arrested on Feb. 22. Sutton is still at large.
The shooting happened at an apartment in St. Louis' West End on Jan. 28 and left 22-year-old Josiah Robinson dead.

"The drug conspiracy charge carries a possible penalty of up to 20 years in prison, a $1 million fine or both," the office said. "The aiding and abetting the discharge of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime carries a penalty of at least 10 years and up to life in prison, a $250,000 fine or both. "
The FBI and St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department investigated the case.
