HILLSDALE, Mo. — A man was shot and killed while an annual neighborhood party was happening in north St. Louis County Sunday night.
Officers from the Hillsdale Police Department were in the area of the 2100 block of Crescent Ave. while the party was going on. At 10:03 p.m., gunshots were heard. Police found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in the front yard of a home on the same block of Crescent Avenue.
The man later died.
Shortly after the shooting, a second victim—a 42-year-old man—arrived at a local hospital with injuries. He is expected to survive.
The Hillsdale police requested help from the St. Louis County Police Department, which is now leading the investigation.
Police have not released any further details at this time.
