ST. LOUIS — The homicide unit responded to the scene of a shooting in north St. Louis Friday evening.
At about 6:35 p.m., police were called to the area of Leahy Avenue and Euclid Avenue, which is in the Mark Twain neighborhood near Bellefontaine Cemetery.
St. Louis police said a man in his 40s had been shot in the head. They said the man wasn’t alert and wasn’t breathing. The shooting was classified as an assault Friday evening. However, police requested the homicide unit to come to the scene to help with the investigation.
Police have not released any further details at this time.
