ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A man police said shot and killed a woman in north St. Louis County was arrested in Mississippi Tuesday.
Police said Rashad Manning, 40, was charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of armed criminal action in connection with the shooting of Amy Wiseman on Sept. 27.
Police were called to the 10200 block of Duke Drive around 9 p.m. that night. When officers arrived, they found Wiseman suffering from a gunshot wound inside a home. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said a suspect was involved in an argument with another person at the home. The suspect fired a gun and hit the woman, who was not involved in the argument. A witness told police Manning was the one who fired that gun.
A press release from the St. Louis County Police Department said Manning, who lives in St. Louis, was found and arrested in the state of Mississippi on Tuesday. He is being held without bond.
