Teen charged with murder in suspicious August death of 16-year-old in south St. Louis County

The department did not release the boy's name because he was charged in juvenile court.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A 15-year-old boy was charged in the juvenile court system last week in connection with the shooting death of a teenager on Aug. 20.

On Monday, the St. Louis County Police Department said the 15-year-old was charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action in St. Louis County Family Court. The department did not release the boy's name because he was charged in juvenile court.

The charges are related to the shooting death of Amorion Fuller on Goetz Avenue. When police arrived on the scene of the shooting at around 12:50 p.m., they found Fuller with an apparent gunshot wound.

Police at the time called the death suspicious and said they did not believe the gunshot was self-inflicted. The St. Louis County Medical Examiner later ruled the death a homicide.

Police have not provided any additional information about the shooting.
