According to the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis, the Collinsville Police Department responded to the Hampton Inn in Collinsville after an employee called and said Judd had arrived at the hotel with a gunshot wound.
Officers arrived and transported Judd to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
In a press conference on Tuesday, Sergeant Mark Kuechle of the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis said Judd, Winters and Smith had known each other, and had been together for most of the night leading up to the robbery.
