Woman robbed outside Popeyes in St. Louis

The woman said she refused to hand over her belongings, but then she said he pulled out a gun.

ST. LOUIS — A woman said she was robbed after walking out of a Popeyes in north city.

Police responded to the location at 3515 Natural Bridge just before 7 p.m. Saturday. A 24-year-old woman told officers she had just walked out of the fast food restaurant when a man walked up to her and demanded her valuables.

The woman said she refused to hand over her belongings. That’s when she said he pulled out a gun.

The woman gave the gunman her money and he ran off.

She wasn’t injured during the incident.

She described the man as being between 23 and 25 years old. He was about 6 feet tall and weighed 175 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a gray jacket, blue jeans and white and black Nike shoes.

Police did not release any further details. The investigation is ongoing.
