Frontier adding nonstop flights from St. Louis to Philadelphia

The nonstop flights from Lambert Airport begin May 22, with an introductory fare of $19.

ST. LOUIS — Frontier Airlines said Wednesday it would add nonstop flights from St. Louis Lambert International Airport to Philadelphia, boosting the offerings to the East Coast destination.

Frontier said that starting May 22, it would fly from STL to Philadelphia International Airport four times a week, with an introductory fare of $19. It also named 11 other markets, including Kansas City, that are adding flights to PHL.

"From the Midwest to the East Coast and from Maine to Florida, these new routes span much of the country and represent our continued commitment to growth from PHL," Barry Biffle, Frontier CEO, said in a statement. "In fact, PHL will see the second largest increase in daily departures on Frontier this summer among our major operational bases."

American Airlines and Southwest Airlines fly nonstop from Lambert to PHL.

Frontier last month said it would add service from Lambert to Phoenix starting April 10.
