Marquisha Williams' legacy: Her daughter receives a gavel after announcing she wants to become a judge

ST. LOUIS — Last year, four children lost their 29-year-old mother Marquisha Williams at the hands of their father. Since that time, the family has surrounded the children with love and support. 

Noelle, Williams'  6-year-old daughter, shared she wanted to become a judge during her kindergarten graduation in May. Her video has gained the attention of supporters from all over the country encouraging her to pursue her dream.

"Beautiful, just like her mommy, but with a totally different personality and I love it. Your mommy would be so happy and proud of you Noelle," Norvette Chavis, Noelle's grandmother, said about the graduation ceremony. 

Dressed in a ballgown and crowned with jewels Noelle received a gavel of her own on Friday morning at St. Louis City Hall.

According to the GoFundMe page, Marquisha's children have completed their first round of grief counseling just seven months after losing both of their parents.
