O'FALLON, Mo. — A pair of St. Charles County lottery players ended 2023 with a big win.
On Dec. 23, the $1 million ticket was purchased at the On the Run on Highway K in O'Fallon, Missouri. The lottery players matched all five of the white-ball numbers.
The press release from the Missouri Lottery did not share reactions or the winners' plans for the money.
This win marked the ninth Missouri Lottery prize of $50,000 or more sold in O'Fallon in 2023.
In 2023, St. Charles County won more than $63.3 million in prizes. Retailers received more than $6.4 million in commission and bonuses, and more than 6.3 in proceeds went towards education.
