2 people taken to hospital after crash involving St. Louis County police officer

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Two people were taken to a hospital after a crash involving a St. Louis County police officer Thursday morning.

Aerial images from Sky5 showed a car flipped over and a St. Louis County police car with damage. The damage is on the front of the St. Louis County police car.

According to a St. Louis County Police Department spokesperson, the police car was traveling southeast in the 7400 block of South Lindbergh Boulevard to a report of a burglary. The police car hit the driver's side of a Ford Escape as it was trying to turn from the Dave Sinclair lot into the northwest lanes of Lindbergh. 

The incident occurred around 8:45 a.m.

A St. Louis County police spokesperson said an officer was transported with minor injuries and another person was transported with moderate injuries.

A spokesperson said if anyone witnessed this incident and did not speak with officers on scene, please contact the South County Precinct at 314-892-1510.
