ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis police cruiser was involved in a crash Friday evening in the city's Carondelet neighborhood.
The crash happened shortly before 6:30 p.m. on the 6100 block of Minnesota Avenue.
A 5 On Your Side photojournalist saw a police cruiser with damage to its front driver's side. Another car was overturned on its side, and there was also damage to a parked car.
A St. Louis police sergeant who responded to the crash said there were no injuries.
Further details on the circumstances of the crash were not immediately available.
Three other significant crashes involving St. Louis police vehicles have made headlines in recent months.
On Dec. 12, a cruiser and another car collided after they both drove through stop signs at a north St. Louis intersection, causing the cruiser to overturn and injuring two officers.
On Dec. 18, a police SUV crashed through the brick front wall of Bar:PM. One of the LGBTQ bar's owners was arrested after an ensuing confrontation.
And in early January, probationary officers responding to a call ran a red light and collided with a civilian’s car, which sent their SUV into a rollover crash.
