ILLINOIS, USA — During the 2024 general election, voters in Illinois will head to the polls to voice their opinions on the presidential race, U.S. representatives, state legislators and three advisory questions. Here's what you need to know if you plan on voting on Nov. 5.
What time do polls open and close in Illinois?
On Election Day, Illinois polling places are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you are in line by 7 p.m., you will still be allowed to vote.
Before heading to the polls, you should check your voter registration and polling place, as well as research what races and issues will appear on your ballot.
When will election results come in?
Results are expected to start coming in after polls close at 7 on election night.
