Today in St. Louis (TISL) gives you some ideas for weekend fun from June 28 to June 30.

ST. LOUIS — The Today in St. Louis (TISL) crew has spoken! Here are some of the TISL Top Picks for the weekend as the start of the Fourth of July holiday begins. 

These events are from June 28 to June 30:

  • Friday and Saturday you can shop from more than 16,000 square feet of prop storage from the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. The sale starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. both days at the Lemp Brewery Warehouse. The theatre is selling off about five decades of props. The items are sold as "as is" and cash and cards are accepted. 
  • Friday night you can get your first taste of Independence Day celebrations in South County. Gates for JB Blast open at 5 p.m. at the Jefferson Barracks. There will be food trucks and live music. The concert starts at 7 p.m. with fireworks to start around 9:15 p.m. Parking and admission are free. Blankets, picnic baskets, and coolers are allowed. 
  • On Saturday and Sunday, Pride STL is hosting its annual Pride Fest this weekend, taking over a huge section of downtown St. Louis. The fest stretches between Market and Olive and Tucker and 15th. Pride Fest kicks off Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and runs through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is the first year the festival will feature local food vendors. It also includes a children and family area. There will also be a cannabis row, a non-profit row and the health department is sponsoring a Health Village where people will be able to get bloodwork, HIV and STI testing, and mental health education. 
  • On Saturday, Blues on the Block returns to downtown. From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., you can check out live music, art, and kid-friendly activities on the corner of 6th and Washington Avenue. Food and drink vendors will be available. Admission is free, but you do need to bring you own lawn chair. 
  • Saturday you can travel back in time at Schlafly Bottleworks. They're hosting a vintage after-hours event featuring more than 50 local vendors, live music, food, and drinks. The event runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Maplewood. Admission is free.
  • On Saturday you can celebrate 630 Day early at Still 630 Distillery. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday night, you can enjoy live music, craft cocktails, beer, and food from Rock Star Tacos. Tickets start at $40 a person and include dinner, four drink tokens, and free samples. The event is for the 21 and older crowd.
  • On Saturday morning, Aldi in St. Charles invites you to a free summer cookout! You can stop by the store on Regency Parkway to enjoy a free meal while playing some yard games. The event runs from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
