A 64-year-old man was hit by a car and killed on Lemay Ferry Road in south St. Louis County Monday evening.
The victim was identified as Sevkija Fernatovic. He was 64 years old.
Police said Fernatovic was trying to cross the street near Lemay Ferry and Victory Drive at around 6:15 p.m. when he was hit. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the 32-year-old driver stayed on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
