Remains found in Illinois identified as woman missing since 2010

DU QUOIN, Ill — Remains found in rural Illinois have been identified as a woman who has been missing since 2010.

Illinois State Police said remains found in Jefferson County in December 2017 have been identified as Benedetta ‘Beth’ Bentley.

On May 23, 2010, Bentley was reportedly dropped off at an Amtrak station in Centralia, Illinois to go back to her home in Woodstock. She never returned home and was reported missing.

Information led them to a rural location in Jefferson County where her remains were found on Dec. 4, 2017, according to a press release from Illinois State Police.

No other information has been released.
