BRENTWOOD, Mo. — Customers who bought ground beef at a Brentwood Schnucks location on Feb. 25 are urged not to eat it and return it to the store, the company said Wednesday.
Packages of ground beef purchased at the 8800 Manchester Road store location with a sell-by date of Feb. 26 may contain metal pieces inside the beef, Schnucks said in a news release. Customers who bought the product are asked to return it to the store for a full refund or exchange.
"To date, there have been no reported illnesses or injuries, and this is an isolated incident that does not affect any other stores," the company said. "Customers with questions may contact the Schnucks Customer Care team at 314-994-4400 or 1-800-264-4400."
It's not the first time Schnucks has had to recall ground beef from its stores. There have been 11 similar Schnucks recalls since 2020:
